History

         NABARD Employees’ Co-operative Credit Society Limited, Mumbai. was  registered on 20 July 1984 under the Maharashtra State Co-operative Act, 1960 to cater to  the needs of NABARD employees by timely supply of credit.  The Society was founded by our Chief Promoter, Shri R V Welling and other Promoters viz. S/Shri C G Krishnamoorthi, D N Pokale, B BGhadge and V K Shinde and inaugurated by the then Chairman of NABARD,  Shri R K Kaul on 06 August 1984.   Since then, the Society has had phenomenal growth and impressed by the performance of the Society, the employees of NABARD, stationed all over the country started demanding that the Society’s area of operation be extended to all over India.  In response to this demand, the Society was registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 1984, on November 1991.  Ever since, there has always been an upward trend of growth due to the patronage of NABARD and sustained participation of its members.

            Our Head Office is located at NABARD, Head Office, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra East and the area of operations of the Society is extended at All- India level in 32 different locations headed by our local representatives.

It is a matter of pride that the Society has consistently earned ‘A’ class audit classification.
